At age twelve Erik Finman put the $1000 his grandmother gave him in bitcoin, in May of 2011.

In 2015 the young entrepreneur found a buyer who was interested in purchasing his company for either $100,000 or 300 BTC. Through day trading Finman accumulated more bitcoins from the original 300 BTC sale and used some of the funds to create his own virtual reality headset company.

In 2017 Finman became a millionaire at eighteen with his BTC holdings and his parents once again let him skip going to school.
