📌 [Trending] Tether go away: Digifinex Exchange wants to exclude USDT trading

One of the crypto-exchanges reported the replacement of $USDT with another stablecoin. Will this trend spread further?

You probably already heard about the launch of new "stablecoins", which are tied to the US dollar. For example, $GUSD from Gemini, $PAX (Paxos Standard) by Paxos and several other options. The new tokens immediately began to be seen as a replacement for the $USDT, which fully meets the needs of the market - to replace the Tether printing press with a new one without any losses.

Digifinex Exchange met this initiative and decided to replace Tether with an another existing alternative, $TUSD:

At the same time, $ 2,756,026,469 dollars are already fell in the economy of Tether as its market capitalization. $TUSD (TrueUSD), which takes only the 69th place on this list, has a marketcap of $85,447,826 and 85,298,925 as 24h volume, against $ 2,094,901,469 for $USDT, which ranks 8th in the TOP-10 cryptocurrencies (by this metric).

📌 [Hacked] 2 EOS gambling platforms have been hacked

Just two platforms based on the EOS protocol lost $24,000 and $ 236,000 for each during this week. Global vulnerability? A planned action? Answer already found

The bookmaker industry has fluently switched to blockchain also. The most famous example of this is Augur platform (has its own native $REP (Reputation) token). Given that the distributed networks remain to be enough vulnerable place, and the "bets" are literally a gold dwelling for all the troubled souls, the riskiness of this area is only increasing. Still, some are able to hack the system.

DEOSGames. runningsnail (user's nickname) caught the wave: he deposited only 10 EOS, and started to win 1000 dollars every 30 seconds. It happened on September 9, the system's smart contract was hacked, On 10 September, DEOSGames informed its community about this case.

EOSBet reported on September 14 that they want to be honest about the fact that there was also a theft on their platform - 44,427,745 EOS has been stolen in total. Having told on Twitter that the security problem has already been solved, the team finished on this. What's interesting in all this, the vulnerability hit one of the basic places that should be strengthened in betting platforms: hacker managed to make bets without a deposit, so, in case of lose he didn't actually lose anything and wins only increased his profit.

As practice shows, there are still many things to do about the security and logic of blockchain implementations.

South Korea and China remain to be one of the leading countries by the number of the wide blockchain implementations. At least, we heard about several "huge" initiatives:

• The People's Bank of China (PBC) launches trade and finance blockchain platform;

• Samsung Nexledger will be used by about 50 Korean companies following Samsung/Korea Customs Service agreement;

• SoftBank (Japan) to introduce the Proof of Concept for its new blockchain-based mobile payments service;

• Decentralized International Monetary Fund focused on the stablecoin integration and use has been launched in SK.

However, there is also serious competition among the US major players to launch a truly productive and profitable solution. Need to stare at the financial market to find it (for example, Bitcoin swaps insider rumors from Morgan Stanley), but also several other news matters:

• Overstock (retail, US) is about to launch Bitcoin purchase option in 2019 through the company's website;

• IBM deploys "blockchain yellow page" as a list of distributed platforms and startups also, to make the area "more visible";

• Coinbase and several other major players (companies and personalities) will represent blockchain industry interests on the public, establishing D.C. lobbying arm.

• Nasdaq is probably developing the crypto analyzing tool that will be used as a complex interface for investors and traders (based on the machine learning technologies and so on).

📌 Results of the week: cryptocurrency market

Bitcoin could almost test the lower assumed price barrier at $6,000, while the most sensitive experts have already begun to predict the next support level in the range of $4,700-$5,000. Rising from the $6200+ point, Bitcoin's price moved to the psychological mark at $6500.

On this, Bitcoin could no longer show better results and fixed on the previously gained value. Bitcoin "absorbs" altcoins: BTC domination increased, reaching almost 56%. The total market capitalization struggle at 200,000,000 as a key point. Ethereum, as the second-by-marketcap currency has stopped its free fall and fixed at nearly $200 ($217 at the time of writing). Prior to this, ETH price dropped to $173, updating the local minimum.
