Barclay's want to bring BTC into play!

Huge news has come out regarding Barclay's (Barclays is a British multinational bank and financial services company headquartered in London) and one would assume this could be a big leg up for BTC going forward.

• According to CNBC, Barclays U.K. CEO Ashok Vaswani has spoken to regulators about cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

• Vaswani did not reveal the content of the discussions with Britain's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), but said it involved talking about how to bring bitcoin "into play" (source: CNBC)

Many of you may have seen this news, but what are your thoughts? Are they really trying to bring this into play or nip it in the bud as they potentially see it as a major hurdle long term.

I am very interested to hear feedback and news on what other major corporations might bring BTC "Into play" in the near future. If BTC was to become widely accepted, perhaps by Barclay's and other corporations. Where would the value of BTC end up in your opinion?
