seeing Andreas Antonopoulos Live
Do you know Andreas Antonopoulos?
He is one of the biggest advocates of Bitcoin and Blockchain that this space has. Yesterday I had the honour to see on of his speeches live here in Zürich. I have to say it was worth going and I guess that is a feeling that is the same for most people here in the Crypto Valley.
This man has been all through my journey into this exiting world of Blockchain. He has provided me with a lot of answers in a way that made it possible to understand. Being able to translate a nerdy concept as complicated as bitcoin and blockchain in a way so that most people understand is a true gift.
So having the possibility to see him "perform" live was something I had to be part of and I have to say that I was not disappointed. And the cool thing is that his speeches are not really scripted. I guess he has a topic and broad structure in mind but he decides on the topic of his talk on the day before.
And it wasn't even about Libra.
This apparently turned out to be the biggest free meetup in Europe with an attendance of over 1500 people. This shows two things
- the bulls are back
- the crypto valley is real
Through patreon and sponsorship this event was free. it was mainly sponsored by the Swiss Bitcoin Association and Bitcoin Suisse. They even had an open bar after.
Andreas hosts a youtube channel (sadly not @Dtube or @threespeak) where he answers questions from his followers and shows the speeches he has made. Really worth a follow if you want to learn more
