RE: This week in Bitcoin- 2-23-2018- Venezuelan Petro & national cryptocurrencies, crypto-dividend fever

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

I'll tell you what's going on here in Venezuela. We have very little access to cash, can't find most basic things like toilet paper or you know...food? And if you find it, you'll probably only be able to buy one or two things. But hey sice there's no cash, you can only pay with debit or credit and it'll take forever because the phone lines and the internet connection are all terrible, so if you managed to buy something congrats...though you probably had to leave everything behind.

And btw, all that effort you put into your work? If you are a woman like me, your hard earned salary might have been enough to buy a box of tampons. At least you won't leak blood all over the place this month. Lucky huh?

What does this mean for Petro? Well, the government is really grasping for straws and Petro is just another attempt that will probably backfire and make a lot of people angry. I don't recommend you to trust this.
