The Bitcoin Vs. Bitcoin Cash Debacle - Jeff Berwick on World Alternative Media
It’s been a long time!
I warned that Anarchapulco and the TDV Summit would have my full attention for the last few weeks, but now I am back! You can expect a lot more content to begin rolling out soon.
But, during Anarchapulco, I had a chance to do an interview with Josh Sigurdson of
World Alternative Media about the latest news and controversy surrounding the bitcoin vs. Bitcoin Cash debacle.
You can see the full interview here:
I continue to change my views based on new evidence and have a few reasons why I am turning quite bullish on bitcoin, again, based on what I see happening via some high level contacts.
You might be surprised to hear my reasoning and why I still don’t have confidence that bitcoin will ever be usable as digital cash, but think it may be time to be buying again.
You can get access to the next issue of the TDV newsletter coming out likely tomorrow to hear my analysis. As well as an in depth analysis of privacy coins. You can subscribe HERE.
Thank you for this interview!
extremely bullish on BTC, happy we agree again! Hope this controversy dies out and the voluntary movement can unite again!
I'm surprised people get so worked up about BCH vs BTC. Let people buy what they want in the free market. Bitcoin was designed to be decentralized as possible. If we're not okay with forks, we're saying there's one central bitcoin team and we all must bow down to whatever they say. The spirit of bitcoin is sharing, freedom, and choice.
A few months ago a serious attack on BTC happened where a flaw in BCH and market manipulation / BCH shill storm was used. For a moment 70% of the miners shifted over to BCH and this was harming the BTC network seriously and caused the price to tank. The only almost successful attack on BTC came from INSIDE and not even from governments and banks and that makes me really angry! Furthermore Segwit is delayed more than a year by big blockers, so without them this bullishness could happen a year earlier.
Fundamentally, blockchains and distributed ledgers aren't conducive with monopolies.
If bitcoin is the right code for the job, it will rise to the top in a free market of currencies. It shouldn't need to directly "compete" against any other currency, including its own fork-babies.
BTC just went over 11000 dollar again ;) You can watch the markets here: http://hangmansnews.com/crypto-graph-and-calculator/ - And Jeff here BTW ;) http://hangmansnews.com/news-entertainment/cryptocurrency/the-dollar-vigilante/
Hope BTC will become better and better if segwit and lightning network (when largely deployed), otherwise BCH will surpass BTC, the best will wine and that's correct!
