The crypto markets are booming and blockchain is becoming all the rage, however we have yet to see mass adoption in the main stream.
How long until mass adoption?

I predict it will take 15-20 years for mainstream adoption of Bitcoin. We are in a race because governments around the world are trying to ban cash and force us to adopt a different sort of digital currency with complete surveillance, where they can flip and switch and you will no longer exist as a person if you doing anything they consider radical. Adoption patterns and the Gini coefficient. The ownership of Bitcoin is not as diverse as it should be, primarily because of the way it grew. But people who got in early and took the risk have been enormously rewarded; no one's coming to bail out Bitcoin. "

Its slowly happening now. I can spend it at my grocery store with a mastercard. My grandma, mom, brother all own bitcoin. Friends and family around the world are all buying and investing their time to learn more right now! I get calls daily asking for help. The future is now!

I have interacted with a few Steemians this week, who are new to cryptocurrency. They are all excited and eager to learn. What an amazing time we live in!

It sure seems like we are getting somewhere. I have to think that if governments get too pushy with their cashless agendas, it will just drive people to crypto and stateless solutions. I guess we'll see.
I can definitely feel a new momentum in the crypto space. I am going to try and have my analysis of the Ethereal Summit out sometime tomorrow, definitely some interesting take a ways from that about where we are going.
I think the adoption will increase quicker at an exponential rate. And that is even without a crisis to speed up the process even more. My uninformed guess would be less than 5 years.
