Daily Opinion #4: The FUD around cryptocurrencies from the media is frustrating

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Super. Frustrating. It's totally ridiculous sometimes.

One of the most common that I've both seen/heard is that cryptocurrencies are bad because they often fund illegal ventures - such as sex trafficking, money laundering, and illicit drug sales. The articles go on to explain that you shouldn't invest in cryptocurrencies because you could be inadvertently supporting such delinquent behavior.

you probably shouldn't use these, you might do something bad with them

Let's go a step further. How much Fiat (US Dollars, Euro's, etc) are used for illegal activities? Who knows, but I think we can all agree that it's probably WAY more than the entire market cap of all cryptocurrencies.

So with that same line of deduction, you should probably also boycott your fiat currencies because they may be used for delinquent behavior.

In fact, with this line of thinking, I think you'll have to scratch all currency off your list. You're screwed. Go live off the grid I guess, because society is clearly not possible for you at this point. Good luck.

And that's the daily opinion.

We are facing one of the historical corrections that the BTC is doing and it will not be the last, in the future we will have more corrections since it is natural that there are downside phases, which belongs to the 4 phases that make up a market cycle. What we must do is to stay calm.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade! Use this opportunity to buy cryptos cheap. We never many cryptos back at these prices again.

Once again media is given the people false information.. they are trying to manipulate people's mind. That is the main reason why i dont watch news anymore..

Media are funded by centralized governments that don't like decentralized funds to move around without their control. The battle will be hard.
