Know the advisors of the project you are investing!
Advisory panel of a project can give you a good idea on whether a project is legit.
As an investors these are the key qualities (advisors related) I look at:
More advisors than team members - TRASH! (4-5 advisors look ideal to me).
Advisors involved in countless projects - TRASH! (Up to 5 projects at a time seem manageable to an advisor, more than that - they are simply token grabbing useless photos. I stay away from companies that are involved in such practices - no involvement with deceitful people)
Qualification, experience, and reputation of the advisors- obviously!!!
