Interesting Days ahead for Bitcoin - Futures Trading, Forks and All-Time Highs
While the past weeks have undoubtedly been exciting for Cryptocurrencies in general and Bitcoin in particular, there is more to come as we close out December and head into January 2018. Most notably, there are several forks scheduled to happen within the next weeks. And on top of that we will see the introduction of Bitcoin Futures by the CME on December 18.
With each fork occurring on a fixed block number, rather than a specific date, we should always anchor to the block number for timing. Dates will be approximate and depend on mining activity.

- Bitcoin Uranium (BUM) - December 31st
It will definitely be interesting to see how these forks play out, especially as we all remember the turmoil around Bitcoin Gold and the initial SegWit2x proposal some time ago.
But with the rise to almost $20,000 on Coinbase yesterday and the correction to the $15,000 levels since then, much is possible. The current retraction to $15K level could be temporary and we may see a rise to $18,000 or even $20,000 levels today or over the weekend.
