What does building sandcastles have to do with the FOMO in cryptocurrencies

When being on holiday in beautiful Tuscany Italy, I have been laying on the beach and thinking quite a bit about crypto's and its future potential. When my daughter start to build a sandcastle (and of course I had to join in) I realized it didn't take long before other kids were joining in to build sandcastles. within an hour 8 kids were all building castles because
a) it's nice to do
b) they were triggered by other kids who were building

FOMO (fear of missing out) VS taking part of a big new movement

When seeing this I had to think of the world of crypto's. I have been reading many stories (both positive and negative) and many prominent news sites report about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies as FOMO behavior. People see Bitcoin and other Crypto's rising rapidly and are afraid to miss out. Without going into details that the Blockchain is revolutionary and will change the daily business as we know it today (2017). It's been put in a relatively negative spotlight rather quickly.
