Hello everyone ! Welcome to Crypto Crates channel, dedicated only to airdrops, which are golden occasions to invest in cryptocurrencies for free !

Let's begin : what is an airdrop ?

The definition of an airdrop is : A free distribution of cryptocurrencies/tokensfrom a company, that establishes its product on the blockchain, to a certain number of members, limited or not.

It is an operation delimited in time, some can even last a few months. I used the length of 2 months because normally it is the average length for an airdrop and some, because of a limited number of recipients, can last a few hours.

The main reasons of an airdrop are :

1/Advertisement for the company, while graciously distributing tokens, which are the equivalent of stocks of the company.

Airdrop can represent 1% to 5% of total shares of a company, and even 20% in some cases.
Some companies distribute their tokens only through airdrops !

But serious projects only distribute 5% of shares of the company in airdrops so the 1st reason to do an airdrop for the company is advertising.

2/ To increase the number of tokens' owners

3/ A way to thank the community for its participation and follow-up to the project's development.

There are many types of airdrops that we are going to develop through this article :

Simple signup, distribution on private wallet, Snapshot airdrop, and BitcoinTalk airdrop

For the 1st type : Simple signup

It is really easy, it is just about creating an account on the company's website and following this action, you will receive tokens that will be distributed on your account that will have its own wallet, in some way, but which will be different from your personal wallet, your private wallet that you possess outside of this website.

Your private wallet can be :

Ledger wallet or MyEtherWallet or something else.

In this case, your tokens will be on your account of the company's website and once the ICO (Initial Coin Offering) of the project is over, you can send your tokens to your private wallets.

It requires an email address. Generally, it is only an email address for verification purpose. So you just write your email address, sometimes your First and Last names. They will send you back an email, you will have to click on a link to verify the email address and once done, tokens are sent almost immediately into the account that you created.

The 2nd type : Distribution on private wallet

It is almost the same thing as for the 1st type; the only difference is that the tokens won't be sent to the company's website account, but instead of that, directly to your private wallet, which is much better.

Of course, you still need an email address for verification purposes (avoid bots and cheating). So you are asked an email address, and also a private wallet public address which is an Ethereum ERC20 wallet, which accepts ERC20 tokens.

You can easily create a wallet of ERC20 type on MyEtherWallet website.

The actions required to complete this type of airdrop are to fill a form in which you have to give your email address, and your PUBLIC address of your Ethereum ERC20 wallet in order to receive directly your tokens.

Sometimes, you are asked to do few more things like to join their Telegram group or follow their Twitter page to avoid the fact that it is just a demand of money, so that you can also follow their development.

Really simple again, really profitable for some airdrops, these two first types are pretty easy to realize.

The 3rd type : Snapshot

It has a simple concept : the company will do a "photograph" of the content of your wallet at a determined moment and will award to you a number of cryptocurrencies/tokens corresponding to what you possess.

Just like in the precedent airdrop type, you will have to give your ERC20 wallet address.

Once again, I specify, because you must not make any mistake :

You must give ONLY YOUR PUBLIC ADDRESS !

The company will look into your wallet to see what's in it.

If there is 1 ETH, it will give you a number of tokens that it had kept only for those detaining 1 ETH.

If you have 2 ETH, it may give you the double etc...

So it is a type of airdrop which depends on what you possess.

Once again, the company decides which cryptocurrency/token will be analyzed. If the company wants to analyze Bitcoin, you must own Bitcoins. If it is Ethereum, you must have ETH.

So it is necessary to gather info about it, it will be written in future airdrops reports.

It is a rarer type of airdrop. The more common airdrops are the two first types. This one is much rarer.

It is also possible to participate twice to this type of airdrop. That means you can do a first snapshot, and let's say you are asked to own Ethereum. You have 1 ETH, and you are awarded the corresponding amount of a T Token, and if there is a second snapshot of the same token, and that you are told that you can participate, even if you have already participated in the first one, it may be because, this time, it is going to analyze how many T Tokens you own and it will give you an extra amount of T Tokens.

So you just need an email address, and a valid Ethereum ERC20 wallet.

Finally, the final type of airdrop, the most lucrative : BitcoinTalk airdrop

I won't hide it : it is the most popular type of airdrop

The reason ? Your reward can be huge !

You can earn thousands of euros in tokens thanks to this type of airdrop.

That will depend on your rank level on BitcoinTalk. That is why one my main advices that I will detail later is to create a BitcoinTalk.org account as soon as possible in order to earn seniority and post comments.

If you do so, by posting a comment once a day or once every two days, you will potentially raise your BitcoinTalk rank.

But let's go back to the beginning : What is BitcoinTalk airdrop ?

BitcoinTalk airdrop is located on a forum page dedicated to the company and its project, on which are described the actions to accomplish in order to get the airdrop.

Generally, there are 1/2 action(s) to make. Then, if there are more actions proposed, it is what we call bounty campaigns, which are not compulsory, but you can do it, in exchange of a remuneration in tokens.

So for BitcoinTalk, you must complete an action, give your PUBLIC address of your private wallet.

Once again, I insist : the PUBLIC ADDRESS

This action can be : do some advertising, go on Twitter, on Telegram, sometimes on Youtube, rarely Facebook. Honestly, avoid FB, so it doesn't become too private, use only media that are not too close to your personal life.

And once you do all this, you will obtain your tokens !

Once again, you need an Ethereum ERC20 wallet.

I still advise to create two main wallets :
ERC20 wallet for Ethereum, and a Bitcoin wallet.

For the Bitcoin wallet, I have a Ledger wallet, it is really practical and totally secure, nobody else can get to it, so nothing bad can happen.

To sum up all this, all those types of airdrops have in common some risks for which you require some precautions.

First of all, use a new email address and passwords different from those you usually use.

Second point : Beware ! Never give an address from a wallet based on an exchange (Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, Bittrex ...). Why ? Because the tokens you will receive in your wallet won't necessarily be recognized by the exchange in question. I am sure that if you search the name of companies that produces airdrops at this moment, on exchanges like Binance, Coinbase (selling only 4 cryptocurrencies), you will not find these airdropped tokens.

So if you give an exchange wallet address, it will be lost forever, you won't receive the airdrop.

So you always need a private wallet, which is not on an exchange. I advise MyEtherwallet.

Third point : still regarding your wallet, NEVER GIVE YOUR PRIVATE KEY !

This is a terrible and kind of stupid mistake because your private key, when you will create your wallet, is the key that grants total access to your account. Literally, you can do absolutely anything with it. So if you give it by mistake, then you must hurry to create a new account, and send all you have on your first account to your new account.

PRIVATE KEY grands total access.

PUBLIC KEY is used to receive money and cryptocurrencies/tokens.

Fourth point : if you do an airdrop, and you see nothing in your wallet, that is perfectly normal, because it takes time ! Most airdrops take 1-2 months to receive them. They are completed, don't worry. If you respected the norms and formats, you will receive your tokens. It will just take time, that's just it, because companies, at this time of development, when they propose airdrops, are not fully launched on the market. They are still in development.

Consequently, if the company says that it distributed the airdrop,and that you don't see the tokens in your wallet like MyEtherWallet, for example, then you have to add the token's caracteristics manually in the list of available tokens, where you have to give the Ethereum address of the token, its number of decimals and its token's acronym.

Once again, I tell you, don't be in a hurry. Airdrops are really lucrative and you must not forget : it is money given to you FOR FREE ! What else to ask for ?

And to sum this up, we are going to see the actions to prepare, to succeed all airdrops.

First of all, you need a secondary email address with passwords different from those usually used.

Second, create your BitcoinTalk account as soon as possible, post messages with it, get experience and higher ranks and potentially, when you will respond to these airdrops, you will be able to earn a lot !

Some asked actions can seem ridiculous, for a BitcoinTalk airdrop, you can be asked to change your BitcoinTalk signature only, which takes a few minutes to do, but for which you can be paid a lot of tokens (hundreds if not thousands) !

That could easily be worth, at the end of the company's ICO, 1€ each token so 1000€ to change a BitcoinTalk signature. Which is wonderful !

Finally, third most important thing to do : Create an Ethereum ERC20 wallet.

I advise MyEtherWallet, fast and efficient.

Personal advice : buy a notebook to write down your passwords

NEVER RECORD them on your browser nor a Cloud

At last, a few actions to do because that will be often asked : Create a Twitter account, create a Telegram account, create a Bitcoin wallet address. For the Bitcoin address, you can use a Ledger wallet, or Trezor wallet, which are hardware wallets. Directly inside them, you will have one address for Bitcoin, one for Ethereum, etc...

Why Twitter and Telegram accounts ? Because you will sometimes be asked to follow on Twitter, to retweet and to give your Twitter username, and same thing for Telegram.

Once you do all these 6 tasks, you will be able to participate to all airdrops coming !

Some are fake or fraudulent, that is why I will only give you healthy and safe airdrops, which offer almost no risk, that are acclaimed by the community and that are from companies having a real project.
