I used to use Reddit for years before finding out about Steemit just recently. The censorship and lack of pressure to create original content on reddit gives steemit a big advantage. Regardless, it's going to be difficult to ever have an impartial discussion, especially when there is money involved.
I totally agree, people will always be biased when discussing securities they have a stake in. I think having moderators that represent as wide an array of the community as possible could help this. At least having a place of little or no censorship would be a first step.
Do you know how Steemit's moderation works?
