DAY 1
Yesterday was the First day of the event and I want to share some insights with you.
The Event itself is divided into 2 different locations. One is the original Superconference at the Marriott Hotel and the other one is in the Sheraton Hotel, called “Bitcoin SuperConference Softfork” – which is a pretty good name for what it is. :D
I am an attendee of the “Softfork” event, as there were no tickets available for the main event anymore.
The Top Speakers on the Event are Tim Draper, John McAfee, James Altucher, Erik Voorhees and many more incredible great people!
Deutsch: Nun ist es soweit und ich kann mit Euch die ersten Eindrücke über die BitcoinSuperConfernce in Dallas, Texas teilen. Da die Nachfrage zu groß war, musste die Veranstaltung in die „Mainconference“ und passend dazu den „Softfork“ aufgeteilt werden. Ich kann Euch jedoch nur vom Softfork Event berichten, da die Karten für die Mainconference zu schnell ausverkauft waren. Vor allem die Gesichter von John McAfee, Tim Draper, James Altucher und Erik Voorhees haben mich auf das Event aufmerksam gemacht.
Welcome Package
As soon as I arrived in my Hotel I went to the Check In and received my little Welcome package which is a badge, the conference schedule about all the different talks happening for the next three days and a little notice block.
Deutsch: Gleich bei meiner Anreise habe ich ein praktisches Welcome Package mit der nötigen „Ausrüstung“ für das Event erhalten: Eine Timeline, damit man immer weiß, wann die ausgewählten Speaker auf welcher Bühne stehen, ein kleiner Notizblock und ein Badge.
Presentations
Afterwards I went to a couple of presentations on the “Softfork” event where especially two presentations gained my attention.
The First one was Minthealth. “Minthealth” wants to give the people the ownership and control over their personal health care data – so the patients can give their data to doctors and research institutes where they believe in.
The Second interesting presentation was from Alex Eaton, the Founder of the Bitcoin-Beginner-Box
He spoke mostly about the Basics of Cryptocurrencies to educate the people who are completely new to the Cryptospace. Furthermore, he did a good and quick summary on which things you should have a look by investing into an ICO. Please find the three main points on the photo below.

Anschließend machte ich mich gleich auf den Weg zu Präsentationen des „Softfork“ Events. Hier haben besonders zwei nachhaltig mein Interesse geweckt.
Zum einen war das Minthealth. „Minthealth“ möchte den Menschen die Kontrolle über ihre Krankendaten bzw. Gesundheitsdaten zurückgeben. So kann jeder individuell entscheiden welche Daten die jeweiligen Ärzte und zuständigen Labors einsehen und für die Behandlung verwenden dürfen.
Zum anderen finde ich das Konzept der Bitcoin-Beginner-Box sehr spannend, da der Gründer Alex Eaton alle Grundlangen zum Thema Bitcoin und Blockchain so zusammengefasst hat, dass jeder Neuling die Chance auf einen sicheren Start in diesem Bereich bekommt.
Des Weiteren nannte er drei prägnante Punkte die man beachten & recherchieren sollte, bevor man in einen neuen Coin investiert:
- Das Team (Welche Erfahrungen sind bereits vertreten)
- Der Nutzen (Welchen Vorteil bringt der Coin und ist dieser wirklich nützlich)
- Rechtliches (Sind für das vorgestellte Projekt Patente oder ähnliches zu beachten)
Main Venue
In the evening we had the Chance to go to the main event too and meet some people from there. I made some pictures for you to give you a better impression of the size of the event.

Deutsch: Rückblickend kann ich sagen, dass der erste Tag auf dem Event durchaus ein gelungener war. Ich hatte die Möglichkeit viele tolle und interessante Menschen kennenzulernen und eine fesselnde Atmosphäre zu genießen.

Thanks for the great report, I would have loved to have been there myself. I am interested in learning more about crypto mining and may actually consider setting up a rig after I learn more about the whole mining thing.

Sounds like an interesting plan! I was adviced to take a deeper look into ASIC miners as they are mining just one coin but very efficient.
