Stellar is in talks to acquire Chain, a San Francisco startup building blockchain technology for the financial industry, for potentially $500 million in Stellar Lumens.

Chain, founded in 2014, raised venture funding from investors like Blockchain Capital, Pantera Capital, Nasdaq, Visa, Citi Ventures, and it has the engineering talent that can benefit Stellar.

Tether
Tether announced that its bank deposits of $2.55 billion were confirmed by a law firm, as the company seeks to reassure investors that its USDT is backed by USD.

FSS, the law firm co-founded by a FBI director, didn’t conduct an official audit but had access to Tether’s accounts at two banks for weeks.
