Bitcoin WILL split on August 1st ... and that is ok!
The uncertainty is over, Bitcoin will most definitely split on the 1st of August, from then on we will have our classic Bitcoin with Segwit incorporated and a new version called Bitcoin Cash which will have 8Mb Blocks.

A group of miners, developers, investors, and bitcoin users will upgrade the Bitcoin protocol as specified by the User Activated Hard Fork (UAHF).

I will not go into the technical details of which version I consider to be better, although it seems to me that 8mb blocks will make the already large Bitcoin Blockchain into something really heavy.
Everything will be O.K.
What I really wanted to tell you is that everything will be ok and there is no need to panic, we have seen this before when Ethereum split and Ethereum Classic was born, both chains now live alongside and if anything their prices have gone up since the split.
Bitcoin Cash is going to be, in essence, An Altcoin, there are plenty of altcoins out there and people are free to choose whichever they like.
Let’s look on the bright side
Contrary to what most people think, I believe the split to be a good thing, why is that?
Because the creation of Bitcoin Cash will bring an end to the prolonged fight amongst Bitcoiners.
The core team can continue to work on Bitcoin and the big blockers can develop and promote their new coin, everybody wins.
Prices will be volatile but remember, as long as you keep your private keys you will have 2 coins to play with on August.

The next six days will remain volatile in the crypto space. A lot of nervous money hanging around bitcoin. Nobody wants to miss out or make a grievous error.
It's like a middle school dance - every one is afraid to make the first move and look foolish LOL!
Lets hope that indeed it will end the conflict. Yet, the Segwit2x still has that 2x...

Isn't this pretty old news since BIP-91 already activated several days ago? Don't think Bittrex is taking a risk with this.
