Don’t Miss Out On Free Stellar Lumens Tomorrow

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Tomorrow is going to be the second time that Lumens are being distributed to bitcoin holders come tomorrow. They are distributing them by how many bitcoin you currently own via a snapshot that was taking this morning. All you have to do is show that you actually own these coins by signing a signature on your wallet which can be easily done. If you have coins on Kraken, BTC38, Poloniex, Deribit, Yuanbao, NaoBTC or Bit-Z, your account will be credited automatically. And you don’t have to sign anything.

If you don’t know about Lumens they are the tokens of Jeb McCaleb’s most recent project, Stellar. He is the original creator of Mt.Gox before he sold it to Karpeles and he is also the creator of ripple. The project seems interesting and the lumens that are being distributed are completely free so I thought I would bring attention to those who didn’t know. I missed out on the first one and wouldn’t want anyone to miss out on the next. You can learn more about the project here (https://www.stellar.org/).

The only thing that might be controversial with claiming the tokens is that you do need an activated Facebook to make sure you arent in an area that the US has full economic embargos with, which I assume you arent, or you might not be on Steemit. I believe this might be the last free distribution, but if not perhaps we can talk to them about linking a Steemit account instead in the future.

There are a variety of web wallets to hold the tokens, or you can just use the regular old client wallet. More info on the wallets you can have is here (https://www.stellar.org/about/directory#wallets).
If you want to look at the actual post that was made in march talking about the distribution coming tomorrow you can see it here. (https://www.stellar.org/blog/bitcoin-claim-lumens-2/) .

It also will link the address to claim Lumens tomorrow, but they might have another post so look on the website. The claim lumens thread is probably your best bet. Hopefully we will get a decent amount. I think the price went up recently so it might be an okay amount. For me I will probably just hold it and maybe they will be worth more in the future.

That they want you to authenticate BTC addresses with Facebook makes it a non-starter for me. Makes my BTC addresses dangerous.

This is what scares me, I am going to use a new address the second I link my facebook so I cant be connected. I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST EVERYONE READING THIS DO THE SAME.

Use Kraken or one of the other affiliated exchanges. They do it automatically.

Have a few hours of free time each week?? Why not use it to earn some money online? Learn more here-> >http://Path70.com

i'll read that, but linking a facebook account to a BTC address is total non-sens in my point of view.

I agree. That is why I switched some BTC to Kraken so I don't have to do any of that.

Nice blog. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. There's a lot of exchanges out there. I found that coinmarketcap.com gives quite a decent overview. I found this amazing platform: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm using this site that gives in depth reports on every tradable cryto in the market. Check for example: https://www.coincheckup.com/coins/Stellar Lumens#analysis To watch Stellar Lumens Report

oh damn looks like I missed out. I was planning on making a btc wallet and getting my coins out of coinbase for this.

Thanks for the info though!

Same thing happened to me bro!

Damn sorry, I really should have made the post yesterday, but I mistakenly wrote down the 27th as the screenshot date :(

Oh its all good, I knew about it before then I just procrastinated lol

Oops, I converted them A day before yesterday to FCT expecting a hike.. But seems , I loose

I made quite a bit with lumens (stellars). I bought it 2 years back at $2 per 1000. I sold it a few weeks back for around $40 per 1000. I exited out of Stellar because of this giveaway. There are currently 9 billion Stellars in circulation and they are planning to giveaway 16 Billion Stellars during this giveaway. I feel this will highly dilute the value of Stellar but of course those who have BTC it's some free stellars for them

I sold my the other day too when they hit $.04 each. Made a nice little profit.

One more tip

If you do not have BTC, don't miss to buy Stellar cheaper in days after dillution.

They are sharing coins that are twice as big as recent circulating supply. There is a high probability that the price will fall because some of those who have a Stellar will want to sell it.

So, watch the market and jump in when you feel it is near the bottom.

Thank you for showing us this, sounds like a great opportunity to own some lumens, thank you my friend, GOD BLESS YOU !!

Free money, must you Facebook... ugh...

Yeah it sucks, when they announced it I said it was a bad idea, but they want to say they did things by the book if the government asks, which is funny because there is really no book for crypto at the moment.

No, if you have your BTC on Kraken or affiliated exchanges, then they will do it for you automatically.

Thanks for sharing about this. Always interesting to learn more about what's going on on Steemit
