The state of Delaware recently passed a bill that included amendments on it explicitly regarding blockchain technology.
The amendments clearly define the right to trade stocks through a blockchain system. By using a blockchain buyers and sellers of stock no longer need a middleman to complete a transaction or trade. This technology will save them tons of time and cash by cutting them out completely. The recently passed bill was considered the "final obstacle in the way" for this new system to be implemented.

These blockchain related amendments are a part of a larger series that includes an earlier Delaware law, introduced and passed last year. This series of legislature is meant to explicitly and legally recognize any type of records stored within a blockchain. Sources say the bill was almost a unanimous yes, and is expected to be signed into a law by the end of July.
"We look forward to helping Delaware enjoy the benefits of this new amalgamation of Law and Technology"
Sayid Matthew O'Toole, Head of Corporate Law at the Delaware BAR association.
Maybe this is a sign that lawmakers will begin to accept related technologies, such as cryptocurrency and begin to mold the States legal system to include this lifechanging technology. One could only hope, but at the very least this is a big step in the right direction.
