Every once in a while I like to speculate where I think some crypto currencies are going to be in a few months. I do this based on trading and background of each coin and what is currently going on with them. In this post I will be going over the following.

1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. Ripple
4. Litecoin
5. Steem

Bitcoin

We start out with the bread and butter of the crypto realm. These last 24 hours as Bitcoin cash crashes we now see huge support for bitcoin even in the face of Segwit coming up here in a few weeks. This clearly shows how much people backup the bitcoin name and consider it the gold standard. Any split varation of this coin just does not fair well and bitcoin is what is accepted almost everywhere. If things all go well with Segwit and bitcoin does not split but instead doubles its block size we are on the right path where bitcoin could be worth $5,000 by years end. I believe each bitcoin will be valued at $50,000 by 2020 as long as it continues to get quality updates to its block chain.

Where did I pull this $50,000 per coin by 2020 ?

Some simple math would do it, right now each coin is valued at a bit over $3,100 at a market cap of just over 50 billion. Take 1 trillion a divide that by 50 billion and we get 20. Take $3,200 x 20 and we get a massive $62,000 per bitcoin!

Put that into perspective that the total market cap for gold investments is 6.8 trillion dollars and 66.9 trillion dollars in the stock market you can quickly see why a 1 trillion dollar market cap by 2020 really is not unreasonable.

Ethereum

This has to be one of my favorite coins and yes it got beat by that huge influx of ICOs however I believe most investors have now gotten smart that your money is not safe and there are scams so be smart with your money! We are now seeing ETH take off again and I strongly believe we will see $500 per ETH by years end. This is when ETH I believe will be pushed towards Proof of Stake and I believe transactions will be much faster. Also there are a number of other coins and supported programs that use ETH block chain which will increase the value of ETH into the future.

Ripple

Let me first say Ripple totally looks like a fidget spinner

Ripple had some struggles over the last few weeks which have been worked on and from viewing market trends Ripple does look to be poised for a major jump here in the next few days. Ripple is unique in that it is limited and the company owes a majority of them still. They have plans of moving towards international transactions. To me this is a short buy and sell from what I am seeing I don't have to much faith in the coin besides that.

It does sound promising in the fact that this blockchain can be updated at will to meet demands however the big turn off factor for me is it is not decentralized. A single company holds most of the supply still.

Litecoin

Litecoin continues to floor me on why it is so low. A few months ago litecoin underwent updates in which is was successful and did not hard fork which greatly improved its blockchain. Litecoin for the longest time was considered the silver standard of bitcoin where bitcoin was the gold standard. However the gap between the two continues to grow. I have a feeling litecoin is still way under valued and should at some point be about 1/5th to 1/10th of bitcoins value which at the current moment would put it at $324 to $649. I can't place my finger on why it is still below $50 per coin thus i'm holding and waiting.

Steem

Out of all the new coins I have looked into Steem to me has the most value in terms of social aspect and quick transaction times. However Steem honestly needs some more cases in which it can be used in order for it to really get a kick in the butt and move sky high. The community is rich and full of talented, kind and supportive people and I just know there will be more positive things to come from it. For me this is a buy, earn and hold for the next few years.
