I think Amazon will accept bitcoin in the future. Maybe not by October but I think it will. In 2014 they said they had no plans to accept it as a form of payment but that was before a lot of changes happened and a lot more companies started accepting it. If Amazon wants to stay competitive they will need to accept bitcoin or the consumers will go where it is accepted. Of course there are ways to still essentially use bitcoin for Amazon like buying gift cards with bitcoin and using it on Amazon but I think they will eventually need to accept it as a form of payment. Even though there are many that may not use it, the same can be said about using eBay and PayPal. Just my opinion.
Agreed, more of a matter of when.
Exactly. Especially when you compare a lot of the product sold through Amazon that are third parties they would have more of an influence of what payments they want to receive. So I think the smart thing would be for them to offer more options to widen their audience.
