New record of crypto market capitalization today

Today, August 7, the total crypto market capitalization exceeded $ 117 billion, it's a new absolute record. The previous record, according to Coinmarketcap, was recorded on June 12, when this figure was just over $ 116.9 billion.

It's worth to mention that on July 31 the total capitalization was below $ 90 billion. After Bitcoin Cash hard fork on 1st August, the total capitalization of crypto-currencies increased by almost 30%.

At the moment 47.3% ($ 55.3 billion) is kept by bitcoin, which continues to grow in price and it is trading now around $ 3,355. On the second place is Ethereum with $ 25.2 billion capitalization.
