US authorities have put up for sale on Bitcoins $ 16 million
The US government plans to sell about 2.7 thousand. Bitcoins, which were seized in several cases, including the closure of illegal Silk Road online platform, according to Reuters.
The auction will be held August 22 potential buyers can register until August 18, said the United States Marshals Service. On exchange rate bitcoins Bitstamp cost is $ 16.1 million.
Earlier, the Federal Penitentiary Service and the US court bailiffs have already put up for sale as part of the party seized Silk Road bitcoins case.
Silk Road - «Silk Road" - anonymous online trading platform, worked from 2011 to 2013.
