I also don't think everything belongs on the blockchain, notable examples include lending and property titles. Also I must be an 80%'er, I brought some steem lol... but dont worry, compared to bitcoin its nothing, and, I have a method to my madness :)
Why buy something you get for free?
I dont get much, or any really, for free. However by owning some when I do post I can upvote and increase its ranking. Also, its kind of like tipping, you may notice I upvote all your comments, each time I do that you get .01 or so but it doesnt exactly "cost" me anything, so its kinda like giving people patreon without spending additional money.
Well thats how I feel anyway.
*when I say all your comments, I mean all your replies to me lol.. and most of your articles, not all of your comments.......
