On Aug 1, miners are going to fork the chain to a big block chain that is already trading at 1/6 the current bitcoin price. No one is going to want to pay the higher fees to transact on the segwit chain, and everyone is going to be switching to the big block fork so fast that the pro-segwit miners will be forced to switch chains or mine worthless coins.
