Bitcoin ETF, is it a bad idea?

in #bitcoin6 years ago

Hey Guys,

Its been a while since I have posted anything. But I wanted to make a quick note and get a discussion about the ETF talk on Bitcoin.

Lets take for instance the gold and silver markets. These have been supressed by institutions as we know it from the printing of fiat currency in the past until it breaks out. We have all seen the maniplulation and its is undeniable that it exists. Currently some institutions have been 'valuing' Bitcoins true existing value at 2.5k USD.

My question to everyone is, would an ETF create more manipulation which could inturn be a bad idea for Crypto? We have seen in the BTC futures markets how we saw a sudden spike then decline in this crypto potentially from this effect.

Now if an ETF would come along would it not control the Bitcoin price even further when we are looking for a free market?

I understand the idea of getting institutional money into the market....but this money is essensially what controls the price..

Just a bit of food for thought!
