Just a little reminder, that Internet itself consumes up to 7% (2017 numbers) of all the world's energy.
Here's a comparison with countries (2012 numbers) :
And for the traditional banking system, it's 2% (4 times Bitcoin and it's an estimate at minima, the real numbers should be higher, but there's no extensive study on this subject). Source : Hackernoon
