BitMEX analysts: both fields in BCH 'hash war' are undermining with great losses

As a result of yesterday's hard bifurcation of Bitcoin Cash (BCH), the two opposing camps in the so-called "hash war" are undermining with a huge loss, according to a tweet from the research branch of the cryptocurrency derivatives platform. BitMEX based in Hong Kong today, November 16.

On November 5, BitMEX Research announced that it would launch a network monitoring tool for both Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), specifically in preparation for BCH's long-awaited hard bifurcation on November 15.

As previously reported, disagreements over the proposed network improvement have divided the BTH community into opposing factions, which resulted in an intense "hash war" between the miners.

The two most vehemently opposed fields are Bitcoin ABC - favored by the "Jesus of Bitcoin" - Roger Ver, and Bitcoin SV ("The Satoshi Vision"), led by the self-proclaimed inventor of Bitcoin (BTC) Satoshi Nakamoto, Craig Wright. A third, "neutral field", Bitcoin Unlimited, is being run by programmer Andrew Clifford and has been presented as a "compromise solution" between ABC and SV.

Citing their bifurcation monitoring tool, BitMEX researchers tweeted that "although the SV SV division is entertaining, we estimate that SV miners are burning $ 280,000 per day pampering the SV chain."

BitMEX Research says that these assumptions are based on the SV miners who use Bitmain's Antminer S9 machines, their ability to sell SV currencies at the current spot market price ($ 100 at the time of the tweet) and the energy consumption costs of 5 cents per kWh.

Not only are SV miners losing significant capital to win the battle, but, in fact, according to a previous BitMEX Research tweet, it is estimated that BCH ABC miners are suffering even greater losses than the SV field.

BitMEX Research estimates on mining costs in the "hash war" of BCH, tweeted on November 16.

At the time of publication, Bitcoin ABC is currently 28 blocks ahead, according to data from Coin.Dance.

It should be noted that the largest global cryptocommerce platform, Binance, the main US cryptocurrency stock market. UU., Coinbase, Bitcoin.com and mining giant Bitmain have supported the Bitcoin ABC field.

Earlier this month, China's reports revealed that Bitmain was rushing to deploy about 90,000 of its Antminer S9 machines in Xinjiang region in western China ahead of the anticipated "hash war."
