How Much Energy Required To Mine BITCOIN ????

A bitcoin specialist at PwC named Alex de Vries estimates that the current global power consumption for the servers that run bitcoin’s software to mine is a minimum of 2.55 gigawatts (GW), which amounts to energy consumption of 22 terawatt-hours (TWh) per year. Though Bitcoin requires high amount of power to mine but it is the only digital currency which is very much costly and its demands increases day by day.
