Luna turned five with the new moon ๐
This little girl has had her entire life documented on the hive blockchain and I enjoy looking back from time to time over my posts in the same way as I might do with a physical family photo album. Feeling sentimental this morning I flicked through a post relating to her first steps.
And also her birth in Bali.
Then I reminded myself of the time we all dressed up in each other's clothes ;)
Once done with that I committed to the post I would like to make today. Luna's fifth birthday. Here she is blowing you a kiss with that magic eye of hers ;)
In the morning Esteban & I were up early to make bread.
He made the baby one as a gift for Luna.
And in return we gave him a gift! Sure it wasn't his birthday but it only seemed fair that he received something.
Luna's main gift here. In French it is called a trottinette. Don't know what it's called in English because such things did not exist when I was a child. It is a cross between a skateboard and a bicycle.
Esteban has been making homes for little bugs recently so we thought he would enjoy this biosphere in which his bugs will be even happier.
He planted the seeds right away, keen to get some life in there.
Ice cubes are put into this bit which creates a convection cycle of sorts, drawing moisture into the biosphere.
One happy little boy.
Luna flew around the courtyard while we were doing this, trying out her new magic wand and fairy wings.
Then on to her creative gifts!
This one works with coloured sand and sticky paper.
There were a number of different designs available so Esteban also picked one.
Here you can see him scratching off the top layer to get to the sticky bit.
And here you can see his finished masterpiece!
Luna left the completion of hers for another day because she was soon distracted by more presents.
We still had the candle from Esteban's fifth birthday so this was reused for Luna!
Blowing this one out was quite an effort for her, I think because the cake was a bit far away.
Right, get these candles off and let's eat this thing!
Cake and champagne.
After cake Luna wanted to play one of her new card games.
She was pretty good at keeping everyone entertained.
She cannot yet create the guttural back R sound which is common to the French language so speaks in a very cute way, replacing the R sound with a V sound. Her English is coming along fine.
I miss my English family in moments like these I cannot deny. Haven't seen them since Christmas 2019 and unwilling to inject myself or stick things up my nose to justify my right to travel, I am doubtful I will ever see them again. Unless of course they choose to come here!
Still, I am happy at least that the daffodils in our garden are sprouting and Spring isn't far now.
Am three days into a dry fast at the moment (no food, no water) so my mood is perhaps a little different from usual. I have diarrhoea & struggling to sleep. And when I do sleep I dream of food!
No matter.
This too shall pass.
Love & Light everyone ๐ฑ
Happy 5th, Luna!
Many thanks for the birthday wishes :)
Luna is sending you a kiss!
