Birthdays and it's importance

A birthday is one day that everyone around lightens up seeing us, or so it appears. There are few days in our lives that we wait for with growing excitement as it draws closer, and our birthdays definitely features on that list.

it is a proven fact that people who celebrate their birthdays live longer and tend to be happier than the ones who don’t. So it won’t really be wrong to say that birthday has a special significance in our lives. the fact that everyone warms up to us no matter what their personal opinions are is one of the many reasons. For many people, it is the one day that people actually pay heed to their opinions, and many of us feel that finally our thoughts have meaning and value.

True, some of it might be just for show. But then, we dont really have to examine every action if it’s for real or not. Maybe for once we should just savoir the moment and make the most of it.

Sometimes, you might be feeling very low, heartbroken, feeling as though no one really cares for you. That you don’t mean much to people. But just then you see a long post on your wall from a dear old friend who you thought had forgotten you and just right at that moment, your supremely happy again. Wishes pour in from all corners, blessings come without asking, people are happily awaiting the opportunity to get together and have fun, people find a reason a smile and for a change be happy for someone else as well, and all this just because it’s your birthday, YOUR birthday!

Your parents look at you proudly and wonder how the years have flown and how big you’ve become, your good old friends are nostalgic and can’t seem to stop smiling thinking of the memories that they have with you. And all this joys and celebration courtesy of you coming into this world.

So sit back and think of the beautiful memories that you have had over the years. Look at yourself and wonder how the years have flown. See the smiles around you and realize that you are the reason for their happiness in some small way or the other.
