The European goldfinch or goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis)

Oh, it's just an elusive bird! Beautiful but elusive! Very rarely when you manage to get close to her. I managed to get close to a small flock when they came down from the trees and were looking for something in the old grass.
So, this cute bird prefers to live in mixed forests, sparsely and light forests, in which there are fields.
The bird is sedentary, sometimes it roams through the woods.

Goldfinches have chic vocal data, beautiful sonorous trills. For this, some bird lovers kept them at home as songbirds and pets.
In the summer it is difficult to see the goldfinches, but their special voices are perfectly recognized among the foliage.
They talk among themselves with special sounds, unfortunately I can not describe them in words, something like short and quick syllables "peek-peelee-peelee".
And when they get lost and call the others - "Queeoo". The sound reminds something of their relatives - redpolls.
