Another of my favorite places is the coast at the very edge of the city.
There are many species of birds, including waterbirds, as well as small animals such as chipmunks and squirrels.

There I met this beautiful bird on a bush.
It's a Common rosefinch (Carpodacus erythrinus)
This charm sat and sang a song. It's hard to call a song, it's more like a whistle.
And Russian-speaking birdwatchers are very amused when they hear the voice of these birds. Because voice of this bird can be translated as "did you see Vitya (russian name)?"

It's very funny to watch this bird eat and sing at the same time.
The females of these birds are not very beautiful, and an inexperienced observer, or those who first met her, can be confused with a simple sparrow. The females differ from the sparrows only in the shape of the beak and in the voice.
