Escaping Zika Virus Without Genetically Modified Mosquitos [The First Steemit Cartoon Series] #7

Contrary to the published information there are natural solutions against the Zika outbreak

Even if you followed my blog here you still don't know that I am a health junkie grown up in an inventor family which excels at the health field.

I want to share some insights which will help you to get rid of the stress you may experienced hearing the news about this (and other) outbreak.

Let's start with the information which the public has access to.

The first solution they (the government) wants to employ is to release millions of genetically modified mosquitos to fight back the outbreak which is the most outrageous idea ever .

Why would someone spend millions of dollars to develop a bloodline and release it into a nature not knowing what that foreign DNA will do to the whole ecosystem.

Possible solutions:

1.  Natural enemies

I was on a couple inventor shows and what caught my attention is a natural way of protecting crops. This idea can be transferred to the Zika problem as well.

This idea was to planting plants around the corn field which housing the natural enemies of bugs which causing the failing of the crop.

What are the natural enemies of mosquitoes?

Bats and birds seem an obvious choice but according to the book Medical and Veterinary  mosquitos only make up a small portion of their diet.

Digging deeper we can find some really promising prospects:

One of the most powerful natural enemy of mosquitoes is Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis or Bti, a bacterium whose only target are mosquito larvae and some really closely related other species, without affecting fish, frogs or other important species, including people.

Mosquito eating fish: The gambusia fish

Although they are effective against mosquitos but on the contrary they usually eating up eggs of native fish and it is not a quick and effective way to react sudden appearance of mosqiotos.

2. The environment

Many people don't know that mosquito larva can only develop in places where there is abundant organic waste in the water and there is a slight oxygen deficiency

If the water is clear you can't find any larvae in it.

A Japanese invention (SCD Probiotics) which is widely used in agriculture but less known for the public is capable of transforming the water using only natural non modified bacteria to clear up the organic waste and purify the water.

It contains 17  dominant soil bacteria which can harmonize the metabolic activities of all present bacteria in the water for maximum efficiency. Strangely after they optimized the processes and all the bacteria are working optimally they slowly disappear.

3. After someone contracted the virus

You can do your own research on this but there are actual and working remedies for fighting back virus infections even AIDS. For me the most convenient is using silver colloid solution which is especially effective against virus infections.

Hope that my guide opened your eyes for the possibilities!

In some parts of Africa they use basil plants to protect themselves from mosquitos, quite successfully.

Mosquitos home in on humans by detecting the smell of lactic acid in our muscles. But the scent of basil confuses them because it masks the smell of humans. Basil is one of the few plants that emits it's smell without having it's leaves touched. They plant it around doors and windows to ensure the mosquitoes don't fly in.

In India Basil is considered a sacred herb and is planted at the doors of temples. It is probably because some wise guru realised it repelled insects centuries ago and incorporated it into cultural and religious practice to ensure everyone had basil around.

Of course a nice side effect of basil is that it is a great herb for cooking, especially Italian cooking!

Thanks for this information! It adds so much to the article. I really appreciate it.
