Cardano
Cardano, his full name Girolamo Cardano (1501-1576) is an Italian mathematician and physicist. In 1545 he published the book "Ars Magna." In 1570, Cardano was arrested for being considered heresy. He languished in prison for several months and was no longer allowed to publish books.
