Greetings, Steemit: An Introduction to Me

I just realized I never introduced myself, jumping into the platform with a few music reviews. My name is Dave and I love writing.

I acknowledge that what I usually write about does not please my co-workers, who would rather communicate their own needs and feelings. As a good listener, my ruminations on pop culture - particularly music and sports - usually need to be channeled through writing.

Therefore, if you've stumbled across this blog, here's what you can expect:

"My Favorite Album is Your Least Favorite" will be reviews of albums that are typically frowned upon by fans, but that I love. This is the reason I started a blog in the first place.

"Show Review" and "Recent Release Review" will be my take on a concert I have just seen or an album that recently dropped. I used to submit my concert reviews to a blog in my hometown, but the editor told me they were good enough to strike out on my own. So this is where they'll be now. You can look forward to upcoming reviews of Kanye West and Nathaniel Rateliff, for instance.

"Funnier than Billy Madison" will be tales from my classroom, but only those that involve humor. Teachers say things like, "When I write my book, this is a chapter." Well, I'll try to be more brief, but those are the events I will share. Ours kids say the darndest things and I'll be giving you an inside look here.

Finally, I'll get my sports talk out when my article is titled "Jock Talk Jaywalk." My favorite sport is baseball, but as a former sportswriter, no sport is safe from my analysis.

Hopefully these headings will help keep my blog organized so you know what you can skip over or read for more depth. I hope you enjoy it and I hope it helps me sleep at night, as setting pen to paper is the biggest help in shutting my brain off.
