Brock Pierce Exclusive Interview Crypto Winter Is 'a Great Time to Build'
In this private conversation with CoinDesk, Brock Pierce, who is a former venture investor and co-founder of Block.one, discusses the present status of blockchain and his outlook on its future.
bitcoin has been the among the most widely held cryptocurrencies since its launch in 2009, but it isn't alone. In reality, there are hundreds of others — some more popular than others. But although Bitcoin continues to be the most frequently used cryptocurrency, it’s not always the best performing one. And it may well be that Bitcoin is no meaningful competition yet when it comes to of price performance.
However, for all its success thus far, Bitcoin is experiencing some severe difficulties at the present. The price decreased from above $20 000 to roughly $6 000 by the beginning of 2018 and has subsequently steadied at around $7 000 per coin. There are also worries regarding regulatory and security problems and also a lack of liquidity (the ability to purchase or sell cryptocurrencies).
What can you have done to protect yourself from all of these problems? How do you determine if or which amount to invest in crypto? Is this simply another bubble ready to burst? We questioned Brock Pierce on these questions today
