In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Pierce revealed that he's been working on an alternative money called Bolivar (named after Simon Bolivar). The initiative is still in its nascent stages, but it will enable consumers to move money across boundaries without any fees or bank middlemen.

Pierce added that he expects that Bitcoin might be about $20,000 per unit by 2020 — before adding that this could be too conservative.
