Getting to know the "Big Data" initiative to combat climate change

 Data for Climate Action 

This Project, where the private sector offers tools and data to generate solutions against climate change, a revolutionary idea to let the whole world know each data of this phenomenon and avoid those who still do not believe in our environmental reality is a pioneer.

This great initiative aims mainly to three important areas of sustainable development: mitigation of climate change, climate adaptation and linkages between climate change and the 2030 calendar.

We could not pass this news so important that it comes from the hand of private enterprise and has our full support, that is why we decided to write a little about it and comment to all of you who can contribute their ideas and form part of this project.

To apply, you must submit a research proposal that explains how you plan to use one or more of the data sets available to generate a proposal that will help to combat climate change.

You can join both individually and by teams, the only requirement is that you're of legal age. 

You may have to get their proposals to DataForClimateAction.org before April 10, 2017.

Those selected will have four months to make its research, that will be evaluated by a panel of experts instead climate and analysis of data. 

The winners will meet in November of 2017
