Where did the Bible come from?
From God Himself. God chose various people throughout history to write down what He wanted them to write. The book we call the Bible is actully a collection of all those writings from all those people.
All scriptures is given by God. And all scripture
is useful for teaching and for showing people
what is wrong in their lives. It is useful for co-
-rrecting faults and teaching the right way to

No prophecy (that is, the Bible) ever came from what some person wanted to say. But people were led by the Holy Spirit and spoke words from God.(2Peter 1:21)

40 authors wrote the Bible over a period of 1,500 years. These Bible writers wrote as they were inspired by the Holy Spirit (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17). [1] Moses was the first person to write portions of Scripture while John, the disciple of Jesus, was the last. Other famous people who wrote the Bible include: David, Daniel, Peter, Paul, Jonah, Isaiah, Solomon and David.
Those who wrote the Bible lived at different times, some separated by hundreds of years. In many cases they were complete strangers to one another. Some Bible writers were businessmen or traders; others were shepherds, fishermen, soldiers, physicians, preachers, kings—human beings from all walks of life. They served under different governments and lived within contrasting cultures and systems of philosophy.
But here is the wonder of it all: When the 66 books of the Bible with their 1,189 chapters made up of 31,173 verses are brought together (KJV), we find perfect harmony in the message they convey. As the great scholar F. F. Bruce noted: "The Bible is not simply an anthology; there is a unity which binds the whole together."
The Bible writers gave God's messages by voice and pen while they lived, and when they died, their writings lived after them. These prophetic messages were then gathered together, under God's leading, in the book we call the Bible.
It's a common heresy that there are dozens of other books that were unfairly excluded by men who put together the Bible. Nothing could be further from the truth. Many books are fraudulent in that they appeared hundreds of years after their supposed author died. So the book of Enoch and the Gospel of Thomas are examples of such books. Other books are historically accurate but were never considered scripture. First and second Maccabees are one example. The early church considered every book to be canon that's part of our New Testament today. In fact, quotes from almost the entire New Testament are part of the writings of the early church fathers following the deaths of the apostles.
Some books were never thought to be canonical. So Paul's letter to the Laodiceans has been lost forever.

My favorite fraudulent book has to be the Gospel of Judas. The real Judas committed suicide after he betrayed Jesus so we're supposed to believe that he wrote down stuff about Jesus before he killed himself. No, it's obviously fake.
