@xeroc has announced a BitShares Foundation to initially provide 3 major "services":

• Public Announcements on the Webpage (like incident reporting)
• Public and Private mailing lists for witnesses, proxies, exchanges, committee, developers
• bitUSD worker escrow management

It would be valuable to discuss both what it means and what it does not mean.
