Thanks for the feedback, it probably is because of a rule that I have that I need to look at how I can address it. I didn't want to do lots of small transactions so I set the minimum payment to be 0.01 Steem, there are so many entries lately that the payments are below that figure. All Steem not paid out due to being below the minimum payout goes into the bonus pot and I select an entrant from random who gets it. If its not that let me know the problem and i'll look into, could be I made a mistake!

Just an idea for you to consider
You could set a much higher payout threshold
But keep track of winnings with a spreadsheet and cumulate them
Less work doing payouts
More time for betting :)
As said its just an idea you'll know better what works for you best.

Thanks for the reply, that would take more work since the payments are automated. However I could do what you are saying it would mean modifying the payout code which wouldn't be too much trouble, the problem is you would just get a payout and the memo might say something like winnings for contests, would make it harder to debug if something went wrong, though my end I could write it all out to a file I guess and debug that if there is a missed payment. At some point I might write a post asking if this is something most people would like, i.e. their winnings accrued until they reach a payment threshold, that like you said could be higher. Least that way you are going to get something, even if it takes a while.
Didnt realize you could automate the payouts im fairly new here still working things out and unaware of many of the tools available, good to know. Though about doing a lottery like post( i'm not very creative ;) )saw few of them about
but thought it would be too time consuming so ditched the idea ( im a bit lazy too ;) )
I had that idea as well but there are already some around, still think it is a good idea but you would need to do it now, seeding it with a big prize to get it off the ground.
