Argentinian Superliga is back to business after the long winter break and there is two games that catch my eyes.

Back BTTS in Tigre v Banfield

Both clubs went into the season break in miserable form having lost their last three games respectively. Actually the host have recorded only one win from 12 games and are sitting 27th. The visitors are slightly better with 4 wins from 12 games and we find them at 16th place. There is no doubts that both teams are hoping that they can return with a win, and while I'm not sure which way the match will go, I am confident of goals at both ends.

The hosts did at least find the net in all three of those defeats and this selection has landed in four of their last five in front of their own fans. Also they fired blank only once at home so far in the season.

As for the visitors, they netted in two of the three losses, and on their travels it's worth noting that they haven't failed to score in any of their all five games away from home.

Back Godoy Cruz to beat Chicarita Juniors

Nothing is ever really a certainty in Argentina, but I do quite fancy Godoy Cruz to pick all points tonight.

Their opponents are Chicarita Juniors and they currently sit 25th of 28 in the division after a dozen fixtures. They have lost seven times already and four of those came from their six away games - the other two were only draws. Chacarita Juniors need an outstanding second half of the season to avoid relegation and so Mendoza isn't the ideal starting point. Los Funebreros have won twice in the top flight so far and both came at home so it doesn't bode well for an opening day upset.

Godoy Cruz on the other hand are up in 12th and a dozen of their 17 points have come at home. They have played four and won four on this ground this term, and that includes victories over the clubs who are currently fourth, fifth and sixth in the table. Their leading scorer Santiago Garcia was linked with a move away from Mendoza but will lead the attack tonight.

One of the most formidable home sides in the league against a side who look destined for the drop - there can surely be only one winner.
