BetDice - The first dividend was a big success!
BetDice is looking stronger than ever. Over 93% of all DICE tokens were staked for the first big dividend! Devs have been delivering consistently and on schedule and what will happen now will be exciting to see. Unstaking takes 24 hours and in this period you would not get any dividends. Will people try to unstake and sell DICE tokens now? But if they do, they will let stakers make more EOS and DICE tokens. Maybe they will be trying to sell them to buy lower, but what if that not happen? It's really hard to tell, but probably the safest bet is just let the DICE tokens work for you.
We would also like to point out how it's such a bad idea to sell these tokens even now. The current marketcap of DICE token is just 7 million dollars! Such a small marketcaps don't even have cryptocurrencies that are already "dead" and yet we can see a working product here with a great team and a great community! BetDice team is also going to release some new games this month. We really want to know what will the competitors do against BetDice because currently they are on top.
They are also having a promo week now, which EOSBet pretty much blatantly copied and just added a little bit bigger rewards to counter them. These promotions are running daily and will end on October 19th. The contests are based on total EOS volume and the prizes will be awarded to the top 100 players. I thought for sure that we would see a huge dip in DICE price after the first dividend payout but it looks like many people are keeping their DICE staked for the dividends. We will have to wait and see how BetDice evolves. Still early days! Thanks for the update @mysteor!
The team is really competent and the dividends are nice so there is actually no point of selling right now. The only thing that is holding BetDice are the EOS CPU problems so hopefully multi-threading will be released later this year.
