What Makes Your Steemit Account Grow: PH Post

in #bestofph6 years ago (edited)
If creating high pay outpost was the first thing you thought after reading the title, you’re partly right. This isn’t one of those post telling you generic BS about how to make your blogs more visible. If you have been following my previous posts, you should know by now that there are four ways to accomplish greater visibility:

  1. Kiss a whale.
  2. Use bidbots
  3. Kiss everyone.
  4. Make an awesome post so compelling people just had to upvote when they see it.

Note: @adamada hijacked this account again. There's no artsy flare for this post. It's a wall of text meant to bore you to death.

You know what? Let’s just level our expectations for mainstream adaptation and settle for the first three ways. Those first three are more feasible than creating exceptional posts frequently.

SOURCE

When examining a Steemit Account, try to look at these parameters on how that particular author’s growth status:

  1. Amount of SP

  1. Engagement

gaano kalakas kang magpapansin sa iba

In this platform, content isn’t king, SP is. It doesn’t matter how good your post is, if you do not have SP or people with high SP to back you up there’s almost zero chance of reaching the trending page. Just try counting how many posts that trend without any smear of bidbot use. A post can reach trending status without the author using bidbots if someone else bought the boost for them or a whale just got generous.

We are already stratified based on our SP from plankton to whale.

If you don’t have enough cash for a pay to win approach in the platform, there’s always the late game of engagement. Start making friends on the grassroot level and work your way up to fame. That’s what influencers usually preach and bombard new users with generic ideas of make good content and some words of encouragement.

Mastering the art of engagement is just as important in ensuring success in the platform if pay to win is not feasible. Some people are good at making quality posts but are unable to market themselves. Remember the social aspect of the platform. If you can’t market yourself as someone worth listening to, expect your posts will likely end up the same.

COMMENT

Commenting on someone else’s post has more impact than creating a regular blog post. People are generally self centered and have their own preoccupations that you have to compete with for attention. Worrying about whether their post will get noticed and the number of upvotes like it’s a gauge on community acceptance for who they are. We’ve seen that happen in other social media sites when likes, retweets, and quantity of followers matter.

Maganda yung upvote pero mas maganda yung comment with upvote.

UPVOTED

Listen, if you are being upvoted by the same accounts without any new names on the list, there’s something wrong with your growth. There isn’t any growth there. It’s just the same people jerking you. Real growth happens when you got fresh names commenting on your posts or upvoting you. Real growth happens when you get involve with other people’s blogs and vice versa.

Get my drift?

That means your posts are attracting new readers and compelling them to engage with you.

Let’s pause to think about some aspects of this community. We got “free voting power” that offers no cost to us to upvote someone else’s post as a tip. Yet, we still got a lot of steemians apathetic on the free tips. Who knows? maybe some of these people might spam likes on other sites for the same quality of posts they see on this blockchain.

Umiiba talaga pananaw basta may pera sa storya.

Here’s a bullet that usually works on every conversation. Understand what the author you are trying to engage with is saying on their post, repeat and add your input.

Napa masyadong maraming words yung post, very insensitive kana pag nag comment ka good post or nice post.

People are more receptive to ideas that align with their perspective and more so if you parrot it. It would be much easier if you already agree with their ideas because the praises would come genuine. By repeating some bits of information the other speaker has shared, it communicates listening and lowers their guard because it says you’re on the same page.

This make them open for your own inputs and be more receptive in knowing who you are.

Bad: Hey nice post, keep up the good work!
Good: This was a fun read, you got me on the blah blah blah. I used blah blah blah and I can totally relate with your blah blah blah.

Masama: Maganda post mo, ipagpatuloy mo yan.
Maganda: Siomai ....

Nag expect ba kayo na may detalyadong translation sa magandang response? Bakit? Ano ba mas maganda sa siomai. Masarap ang siomai. Ang post mo ay siomai. At siomai is magandang dekalidad. Siomai is life.

CREATIVITY

There’s plenty of opportunities for the other party to be creative on their response because you’ve given them more room to approach the conversation. Saying it’s a nice post already eliminates the conversation and the response would most likely be a thank you. Thus, you just f up your engagement opportunity.

Sige nice post comment pa more, generic na thank you lang aabutin mo.

I got too many topics thought out to post on this communal account but I’m flooded with work. If you’re interested in supporting this communal account, feel free to lend us your SP.

@adamada was here.

Sort:

Hahaha kaloka. Ako'y napagawi laang para tingnan yung featured best of PH. Pero voila may post kayo!

Tama ka, SP is king so maybe kelangan makita ang best of PH account in all comments all over Steemit hahehihohu

Hmmm at ang comments ay keep up the good work, how did you do this? o di kaya what's your source hahaha joke lang.

Pero di nga, maybe this community account needs to be commenting on other community initiatives?...

Edit: Forgot to upvote too, nag-error broadcast :( tapos nag-double broadcast yung comment. hayst.

GO BestofPH!

Pero di nga, maybe this community account needs to be commenting on other community initiatives?...

May punto ka talaga dyan. Medyo kapos lagi kami sa time sa pag steemit lately so matapos maka spot ng post, review, compile and post a feature nalang routine. Pagnaka tyempo yung communal account gagamitin ko mag comment back.

Salamat sa support :D

Walang anuman!

Hmmm at ang comments ay keep up the good work, how did you do this? o di kaya what's your source hahaha joke lang.

Hii @bestofph We'll defined sharing about steemit account promotion and visibility. Appreciations for well written. These are the key points.

Kiss a whale.
Use bidbots
Kiss everyone.
Make an awesome post so compelling people just had to upvote when they see it.

Realtalk. :-) I've been in to this sentiments few weeks ago and discussed same thoughts with a friend.

But for now kilangan talaga natin total engagement in the community and ayaw ko nmn talaga sumipsip e, di ko talaga gawain yon kaya pokos ako sa mga contest I think this is the best engagement.
