Yes it's quite expensive unfortunately. The upside: you get really picky about your shots so speaking from my experience: there are just a few that don't make the selection per roll.
I ended up ordering a couple film cameras last year and film, there was a slip up and they sent be double the film they were suppose to. So I have a fair bit lady over because what I shot just felt like a waste until I can develop it.
