The shuttle will hover near the asteroid, extending an arm to dig the soil and return it to Earth for detailed study. This will be the first trip to visit an asteroid and take a biopsy from the soil and return it to Earth in addition to a three-dimensional image and a very precise mapper of the future orbit. Pino orbits the sun's star once in a 1,2-year ground at 28 kilometers per second and comes near the planet every six years. At each orbit around the sun, the asteroid cuts about one billion kilometers away from the planet about 340 million kilometers at the farthest point from Earth.

In 2153, the asteroid will travel 300,000 kilometers from Earth (between the Moon and Earth) but it is not known how the orbit will change after this visit.
