Nepal is naturally beautiful. It is also rich in natural resources. It is the second richest country having high potential in term of water resources. It has more than 6000 rivers and rivulets including big and small. Rivers are the most important water resources in Nepal. Mechi, Koshi, Bagmati, Narayani, Gandaki, Karnali and Mahakali rivers are the major rivers in Nepal. The Kanali is the longest river in Nepal, and Koshi is the largest and the Narayani is the deepest rivers in Nepal. Mahendra Tal, Phewa Tal, and Bengals Tal are major lakes in Nepal.
Water resources are important in our life. It plays a vital role in the development of the country. The main sources of electricity are rivers. Electricity also plays a vital role in the development of the country. Nepal is an agricultural country. It can be improved by providing adequate irrigation. We use water in our daily life for cooking, washing, and drinking. It is also used for transportation and entertainment. In this time many people enjoy rafting and booting.
