LIMITING BELIEFS
I’ve been really looking forward to the spring and the nice weather because my son is more encouraged to get outside.
His asthma acts up in the winter months, which make it hard to get him outside to do anything for any period of time.
About four years ago he got a concussion. He was not cleared from his doctor to go back to school full days for 7 months..
He wasn’t allowed to do much of anything except sit. The light sometimes caused his to have headaches. He wasn’t allowed to use the computer much at all. He wasn’t even able to play outside at all either.
Because of this and not eating the healthiest of foods, he gained weight. He lost his motivation over the years but this year he was told by his doctor that he has to loose some weight.
I sat down to chat with him about what was going on and he said “when I loose some weight I will be back to feeling more confident.”
It reminds me of the limiting beliefs so many people have when it comes to their money blocks.
Limiting beliefs include:
“When my debt is paid off I will be happy.”
“When I have more money I will be happier and more present with my children.”
“When I increase my income I will be able to invest in coaching to improve my life.”
“When I loose weight I will be able to live the life I want.”
Do you see the pattern?
People think that once they HAVE xyz they will BECOME who they want to be.
The truth is, the opposite is true.
In order to DO and HAVE more, you first need to BE that person.
BE ~ DO ~ HAVE
Not the other way around.
If you want to experience more love in your life, then be open to BEING a person who is more loving.
If you want more freedom in your life, acknowledge all the freedom you have in your life already and embrace the feeling of it NOW.
If you want to release lack and limitation, imagine, feel and act like someone with an abundant mindset NOW.
Change happens from the INSIDE out NOT the OUTSIDE in.
Only THEN will you start attracting more of what you want to you.
Faster.
With more ease.
In my son’s case, I told him to make some mindset shifts to start feeling more confident in his abilities as a person NOW – to see himself as a star player already.
And guess what happened?
He now goes to the weight room at school 3 days a week. He takes Gym class 5 days a week when he is only required to take 2 or 3 days. He is running faster, now he is NOT the last kid to cross the finish line.
Now he is thinking about playing baseball again.
So ask yourself, what is the one thing you desire, that when you have it, you’ll feel more of what you want?
Start allowing more of it in NOW, and I promise, you’ll start attracting it to you faster.
