This small boat floats in a fishing village on the eastern coast of Venezuela, in the Sucre state. It is a very small town called Playa Caballo. There I go continuously to buy the fish from my domestic consumption. In that place I manage to evade the chain of intermediaries, I talk with the fishermen, I learn about the sea (I would not exaggerate in saying that the sea is my main fascination) and let myself be trapped by the prints it offers me.

I took this photograph from a certain height and distance, trying to capture the reflection of the boat in the calm waters of that cove.

Esta pequeña embarcación flota en un poblado pesquero de la costa oriental de Venezuela, en el estado Sucre. Es un pequeño caserío llamado Playa Caballo. Allí voy continuamente para comprar el pescado de mi consumo doméstico. En ese sitio logro evadir la cadena de intermediarios, converso con los pescadores, aprendo sobre el mar (no exageraría en decir que el mar es mi principal fascinación) y me dejo fascinar por las estampas que me ofrece.

Hice esta fotografía desde cierta altura y distancia tratando de capturar el reflejo del bote en las tranquilas aguas de esa ensenada.

There are certain scientific theories that ensure that the human comes from the sea. I am not the one to refute or secure it, what I can say is that putting my feet in the sea gives me a sense of tranquility and instant relaxation.

In this photo I wait unhurriedly next to the boat that will take me home. My Blue House I call it, because wherever I look, the color of infinity invades me, in the form of sky and in the form of salt water.

Hay ciertas teorías científicas que aseguran que el humano proviene del mar, no soy quien para refutarlo o asegurarlo, lo que sí puedo decir es que meter mis pies en el mar me produce una sensación de tranquilidad y relax instantáneo.
En esta foto espero sin prisas al lado de la lancha que me llevará a casa. Mi casa azul la llamo, porque donde quiera que pongo la mirada me invade el color del infinito, en forma de cielo y en forma de agua salada.

A child, not older than ten, takes the boat and borders the coast. He should be in his classroom, however he prefers loneliness, between smells and the murmur of the sea.
The image suggests a story. Statistically speaking it can be a very common story, but it could be exceptional. My best wishes are uploaded in that boat with him. May all the gods of the world protect you!

Un niño, no mayor de diez años, toma el bote y bordea la costa. Debería estar en su salón de clases, sin embargo prefiere la soledad, entre los olores y el rumor arrullador del mar.
La imagen sugiere una historia. Estadísticamente hablando puede ser una historia muy corriente, pero podría ser excepcional. Mis mejores deseos van subidos en ese bote con él. ¡Que todos los dioses del mundo lo protejan!

It is said that art is not anything but that it can be anywhere. I believe it. Therefore, I do not waste opportunity to enjoy it.
The shadow of my hand reveals the intention of capturing the soft mounds of sand, in which marine mosses find a habitat to reproduce. I love the organic effect, produced by the conjunction of the sun, the tide and the stubborn sea life!

Se dice que el arte no es cualquier cosa pero que puede estar en cualquier parte. Lo creo. por lo tanto, no desperdicio oportunidad de disfrutarlo.
La sombra de mi mano devela la intención de captar los suaves montículos de arena, en los que los musgos marinos encuentran un hábitat para reproducirse. ¡Me encanta el efecto orgánico, producido por la conjunción del sol, de la marea y de la terca vida marítima!

This mound of large stones indicates the entrance by sea to the town of Santa Fe, the most important town in this ecosystem that is part of the Mochima National Park (you can see a piece of its coast in the photograph). From there you can connect with all the islands, inlets and villages irrigated by this capricious geography, rich in marine and agricultural species that could be, an authentic earthly paradise.

Este montículo de grandes piedras señala la entrada por mar al pueblo de Santa Fe, el más importante poblado en este ecosistema que forma parte del Parque Nacional Mochima (pueden ver un pedazo de su costa en la fotografía. Desde allí se puede conectar con todas las islas, ensenadas y poblados regados por esta geografía caprichosa, rica en especies marinas y agrícolas que podría ser, un auténtico paraíso terrenal.

Behind these photos that I present is the experience of the sea.
I am not a professional photographer, far from it, although I am a curious amateur.
I almost never apply filters to my photographs because, being of very particular consumption, I prefer the visual sensations closest to reality.
Although I love to take photographs at twilight hours (so I have to wait for them) I take every reason to photograph the sea, to the extent that the subject appears before me and calls me. So it was on the occasion in which this woodpecker was beating and beating, in the yard of my house ... contrasting against the blue.

Detrás de estas fotos que les presento está la vivencia del mar.
No soy una fotógrafa profesional, ni mucho menos, aunque sí una curiosa aficionada.
Casi nunca aplico filtros a mis fotografías porque, al ser de consumo muy particular, prefiero las sensaciones visuales más cercanas a la realidad.
Aunque me encanta hacer fotografías en horas crepusculares ( por lo que debo aguardarlas) aprovecho cada motivo para fotografiar el mar, en la medida en la que el motivo aparezca ante mí y me llame. Así fue en la oportunidad en la que este pájaro carpintero estuvo golpeando y golpeando, en el patio de mi casa...contrastando con el azul.
