since I have you and am on a roll with questions and neither one of us can figure out how to message on discord, who sets the buy/sell price for steem on the market? It has been pretty high to buy for quite a while now, I only bought part of my built up SBD at 1.29 and change. Last time I bought it was at 1.14 and before that it was below $1.00?? but it has been over 1.30, and as high as 1.50 for a while? what gives?
It's set pretty much by demand. The market reflects the steem price in the wild in exchanges fairly closely. Steem is currently and has been over a dollar for a while now whilst SBD has fallen from its great heights. Just now you are seeing steem fall so it is dropping in value relative to SBD. Of course and is dropping we will so it ain't catching up that fast. At this rate it will be 1to1 again or worse.
